Our classical reformer today continues our focus on precision as we move through the first part of our sequence of classical exercises. Precision is all about intentionality, engaging from the right muscles, keeping your breath fluid throughout your movement, remaining connected mind-body throughout, and fine tuning your movement from start to finish. Remember that though we are focusing on precision, we don’t want to forget the prior principles we have been working on, so try to weave these in and make them become an integral part of your movement practice: breath, fluidity, and control.
The 6 principles of Pilates are:
Breath
Concentration
Control
Flow (fluidity)
Centering (move from core out as well as mind-body awareness)
Precision
